If you haven't played this 9-hole course, you should check it out. With Brett adding a bazillion temp holes it should be an AWESOME event. I seriously wish I could play! But... I'm your friendly neighborhood vendor for that day :) It's not quite as far north as Waukegan for the 1st IOS, but I personally say it's worth the drive.

The course will definitely be sweet and I wish I were playing as well. I've said for a long time the original 9 is as good as any 9 holer in the state of Illinois. The 11 temporary holes will add a lot of variation to the course. Short technical in the woods. Long tunnel shots in the woods. Couple of long semi open par 4's. Couple of downhill holes. This course is going to test every part of your game.

All signed up. I plan on heading out Fri. or Mon. (whether or not the weather is good) to check out the course and hopefully all the alternates. I've printed up the new map and hole descriptions from Discontinuum.org. Anyone up for a road trip?

Everybody should go, this one is going to be well worth it!! Don't forget that it is pre-registration only, so make sure to get your info in. I think there's only about 50 spots or so left? The pre-reg's are going to come in hot and heavy this weekend and into next week! Long range weather report is calling for 77 degrees and partly cloudy - I can live with that!

Went and played this course today, this course is gonna be tough! Besides the course conditions which are muddy and wet with standing water, the layout of the temps are sweet, but pretty hard. Better bring your A-game!
Nice job on the map Brett!

Don't forget that the Am Championships is event #3 in the Paper or Plastic Sports Top 9 of '09! I should have the current point standings available early to mid next week. Hopefully not too much rain is in the forecast for the next week and it will be a great weather event!
New Merch for this event: 2009 design Phenix Quad Shocks (all black) Tons of new Fade Gear Bags (all bag designs improved along with 6 new colors!) 2 BRAND NEW Drivers from Gateway - The Savage and the Apache.
333 more Innova discs including plenty of Star Boss, R-Pro Aviar, R-Pro Dart - the R-Pro Cro and R-Pro Boss are not coming out until AFTER the tournament date, so those will not be available yet.

Benton, I can give you a ride assuming I'm still even going due to my shoulder injury. I'll know by tomorrow.

Hey Tafe - I used to get my PDGA directories through Innova, and they are currently marked as out of stock. I have another source to order from, but it's not someone that I order from often at all - unfortunately I will not have any for this weekend.

36 spots remaining - expect a bunch of spots to go tonight as Brett will be at the Libertyville doubles! So get signed up today!
Forecast is high of 58 degrees with intermittent sun and clouds. Should be a great day for disc golf!
