We are back in town & will be running the 9am bag tag challenge @ Eagle Ridge tomarrow 9/13.  Ace fund is at $66.00.  1pm tags are cancelled until further notice.   Cancelled because of football season.   We as a club will do a vote on what to do with the $68.00 ace pot from the 1pm bag tag challenge (later, stay tuned)

Wouldn't it be good for the course if the $68 went towards a course improvement fund? Just a thought.

I have been playing alot of Chicago area courses lately and seeing the skill levels there.  There alot more skilled players in the upper divisions there then locally.  I see that everyone is voting for the paths to inbounds.  The short tees are way to easy (just look at the scores) so it would make alot more sense to make the course more difficult by making them ob.  I am getting a bit frustrated that everyone wants to make the courses easy and only play shorts all the time.  You will never get better unless you play longer and tougher holes.  People complain about mandos the same way becuase it makes the hole harder.  I really hope the Jericho/Oswego area tries to step up the skill level and get more upper players to more competitive outside the local region.  I have discussed this before and I am sure it will fall on deaf ears again and the pathways will not be OB...sad.

Like to thank the Club for welcoming a Family in on 9:00am tags.  The kids had an awesome time and learned alot.  Peter and the boy's were chattering like crazy about their round and how cool the experience was.  Can not ask for better promotion Club Metro.  Thanks to all the members who took time to give pointers and an ataboy.  Noah was on my card and he witnessed an ACE by Jon Boster but I think he was more mesmerized by the tips, support and encouragement Jon provided.  Jon Boster is this weeks Player Spot light.  Blaine and Christie Schepp.

Was wondering if there are any gamblers out there who would like to play some skins during the 9am bag tag round Sunday. It would be 50 cents a hole and $1 would be paid to anyone hitting metal on their drive. $5 paid to anyone hitting a ace. The most you could lose would be about $10. You would have to lose every hole for that to happen though. We can make a card up for the ones who want to play skins. Please post if interested.

Thanks captain obvious but considering that the 1pm at Jericho (from my last knowledge) are no longer happening, I wasn't sure if an alternating location might have come about

I don't think it was wrong of me to think that a threads contents stray from the title itself more than once
