It seems Nature does not want to cooperate with our grandiose ideas!  It appears that the snow wall on #4 won't happen.  So...
If anyone is throwing out an old fake Xmas tree, or if your real tree hasn't been taken away yet, BRING THEM!!!
I've got a really great stand and I think we could make a wall with trees.  Disposal is easy, fake trees can be tossed out, real ones can go in the lake as they provide shelter for fish.
Also, still no answer as to what tees we are playing, how many xtra holes and where, and are we gonna try the hula hoop (-1) thing?

I don't have a answer for you Tafe. My question about a Ice Bowl meeting was ignored. Those are some good questions though.

I told Blaine that I have 5 -3ft. tall work cones that we can use
Don't know how tall of wall we need.

6 feet or so should be perfect.  I'm just trying to block the wide open righty-hyzer route.  I'm sure we can come up with something.  We could even pull over a picnic table if need be.  I've seen it done before  Oompa Loompa

If you want to restrict the wide open right-hyzer route, placing an obstacle near the tee will have a larger effect than something near the basket.

It was a simple question on the officers discussion board that was ignored, nothing more.

Stopped out at Jericho today with my daughter in tow. If we don't have significant snow or high winds, I'd like to do a pair of temp holes south of the lake, 9B and 9C, and stretch the '7A' that's been used in the past. Going south of the lake creates flow issues but without snow Jericho plays fast and to my mind the pros outweigh the cons.

Still no answer.  Do we have a TD?

Dag, depending on which tees are used, I've seen a bunch of different holes on this course.
The only problem I see with going S of the lake is you're going to play two or three holes and then have to walk through and past all the groups playing the holes behind you.  Sounds sort of sticky.
But we have plenty of options and we'll work something out.

I'd like to try to avoid temp holes that feel like filler only. Most of Jericho you chuck it off the tee and if you did it right, deuce putt and if not so right, pretty good chance to come back for par. Deuce or die. Let's add some risk/reward into the mix. Price for this S of the lake is a 6-8 minute walk, spotting for other players as you go.

For those that are interested.  All the final details will be worked out after leagues tomorrow.  Tasks will be handed out and final details will be posted on the site.  If you have any other comments or questions you can call or post and all comments will be considered at meeting.  Also would be nice to see a clean up crew out at Jericho the next couple of weeks to get the park back in order.  If someone would spearhead that it would be great.  We will have bags.

Mother Nature's working on it, we'll likely have snow on the ground come 1/21/12!!

As of 4:30 pm, 1/11 the course is clean.  Six garbage bags taken off course.  I also trimmed up the front of #14's long tee.
Dag and his daughter helped out the first five holes.  She won a 105g Magnet for it.  Let me just say that if this is the condition that courses we normally play are left in, this is the last time I'm giving something away for clean-up.  Pretty sad.
