Yes, there is a Wednesday night league there.  I'm going tomorrow night to talk to a guy from the park district that also plays there.  Right now it's register by 5:45, tee at 6, $6 + $1 optional ace fund.

See you guys there if you go :)

They also are having a tournament for $10 single round it looks like at their grand opening on Sat, August 20th.  You get a disc for the entry fee, expect it to probably be trophy only.  Adv, Int, and Nov.  Make sure to play up out of novice to let true beginners have a chance to duke it out ;)

Great turnout for only the 2nd week of leagues at this new course!  28 players.  The course is already getting a TON of play.  It was exciting to see.  I was very happy to hear that they were looking to replace the gravel tees with rubber tees.  There are a few rough spots on the course (tee placement for hole #2 could have lots of incoming discs, for example).  The guy from the park district seems open to the idea of alternate pin placements, so hopefully they do something like moving hole one's basket to the left and remove a lot of the shots that could land near 2's tee.

Matt Cook is running the leagues - check in by 5:45 for 6pm start.  No one aced tonight, so about $40 rolls to next week.  I don't know if/when they are going to bump the start time earlier.  $7 to play ($1 optional ace fund, $1 goes to the park district, the remaining $5 goes to payout pot).

I wish I could get out from work earlier to play more leagues, but Matt did a great job running things tonight!

Thanks for summarizing the evening Scott.  All I can say is Disc is in the AIR.  The park was absolutely jammed with family's and groups of 5 at each hole.  Unbelievable sight to see.  Great Job Geneva park district!

Lots of women out on the course yesterday....the one that cracked me up was the mom playing with the baby on her hip!
