BOOM BOOM DISC GOLF!!!

Results are up http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=9988

Just want to thank everyone for showing up to my first tourney! When I picked the beginning of March I knew it was gonna be a hit or miss date with the weather. I had planned on maybe 50-60 players, but when all was said and done 91 disc golfers came out to play for the day! I guess the itch was on. the weather was great and so was the company, so thank all of you once again for coming out!
I had a blast and cannot wait to throw my next one. I know there were a few bumps in the road, but as they say hindsight is 20/20, so some lessons were learned for next time. If anyone has any constructive criticism, I would love to hear it . I know I cannot think of everything, and I want to provide you with the best tournaments I can, so please let me know.

There are a lot of people I want to thank as well for making this happen: Dave Y for having the plastic for the day, Starbucks for the coffee, Gorilla Boy for the coupons, ABC Discs and Dan Pastore for the minis, Discontinuum for the fly pads, Tom M. for hauling them, Scott Pitner for the basket and leader board, Fox Valley for the basket and leader board,Mike K. for running the leader boards,  Jon Boster for taking registrations, all of those that helped set up/ and tear down, those that helped with adding scores and making up scorecards, those that handed out bag tags for the day, and anyone else I may have missed.

I do have a few tags that people left from some different clubs. If you did not get your tag or left before they were handed out, let me know I may have it.

original post (which shoulda been a PM in the first place) deleted

totally unrelated but...since I'm here...

I recall someone referring to the distance on hole #19 as "350', measured by wheel". That seemed a bit off to me so I took a look at the distance this morning on Google Earth. I come up with something in the neighborhood of 540'. I'm not posting this to nit pick details, just to suggest that whoever has that wheel may want to calibrate it.

I remeasured it last night and it came in at just under 550' ft not 350' it has been entered in as a par 4 for tourney purposes. Par for the longs was 63 and from the shorts 62.

Aaron has submitted the results to the PDGA and they have made the results official.  However, between the time that the results become official and the release of new ratings, the offical ratings are not yet available and the unoffical ratings are taken down.  The next ratings update is scheduled for March 23rd.  The ratings should be on the results page at that point.

As a general reference, a 62 from the longs was unofficially 968 and a 52 from the shorts was 1000 even.

Aaron you just need to email Karolyn at the PDGA office and tell her that his PDGA # is 43117 and they need to update the records to match him to the PDGA # - they should be able to do that for you and get him in for the ratings update.

and for me - oye.  At least the miscalculated horrible round (why not throw an extra +2 on it just for kicks?) shouldn't be counted in my rating, but all I keep doing is going down, down, down... need to get out and play more - and not grip lock!
